No, this isn’t Scotland or Ireland. Bandon Dunes is an incredible golf complex on the southern Oregon coast. Built on top of the sand dunes that proliferate this part of the coastline, it is a pristine and jaw-dropping place for those who enjoy the sport. I was there in mid February with 7 others. After one of our rounds I grabbed my tripod and camera and snuck away from all the 19th hole activity to wander the course at sunset. Wow! Just me and an empty golf course and the roar of the Pacific Ocean. The Oregon coast in mid February could easily be blowing and raining… but here on the 6th hole was a gentle breeze and a clear sky.
